The Indy Bass Club (IBC) is a non federated bass fishing club of approximately thirty members who share the common interest of bass fishing, friendly competition and preservation of our natural resources. The club is based and meets in Indianapolis, Indiana. The original name of the club was Westside Indy Lunker Landers and changed to IBC in the late 80's. Our members vary from the more experienced angler to newcomers looking to start their fishing career. The club was formed in 1979 by members who wanted the competition of tournaments, yet in friendly, honest and open environment where your competitors are also your friends. The membership consists of husband/wife, father/son, friends and individuals.

IBC Headlines 2008

Lake Sullivan produced a ton of fish, many in the 13" range. It was tough to get the keepers to bite, let's just hope those 13" fish are keepers next year. It was a good job on everyone's part to keep all our fish alive. Congrats to Josh Ray and Bret Languell who finished first place with 10.07 pounds and also won big bass with a 3.11 lbs largemouth. Kevin Mobley and Phil Mobley Sr. finished Second with 9.14 pounds then Andy Stewart and Fred Lynn finishing 3rd with 6.05 pounds.

The Indy Bass club would like to congratulate a few of our very own. Austin Judd and Tylor Upchurch both participated in the White River Bass Masters casting competition for kids. Yes, you got it...These are the same two kids that put a good ole' but whoopin on most of us in the classic last season. We should be very proud of these boys as they represented IBC as two of the best in the city for there age group. Tylor won the event for his age group (11-15) and Austin finished second for his age group (5-10). Tylor will move on to the state competition, more information will be posted later. Please take a moment to congratulate and encourage them.
